P

Pedestrian Protection

We build our cars so other road users and pedestrians are as protected as possible. Measures for the protection of pedestrians include special deformation elements in the front bumper, keeping the maximum possible distance between bonnet and engine, and deformable wings. There must also be no sharp corners or edges and no protruding parts such as badges or trim components. The aim is to minimise the risk of injury by designing the 'contact zones' to give way as much as possible.
