Maximum Rear Axle Deceleration - HVV

Maximum rear axle deceleration (HVV) is a sub-function of the ESP, for example, in the SEAT Alhambra.

HVV responds as soon as the front wheels are in the ABS control range whereas the rear wheels are not yet within it.

In this case, the HVV increases the brake pressure at the rear wheels too, to bring them into the ABS control range. This reduces the braking distance and the car comes to a halt sooner.
