Multi-Link Rear Axle

The multi-link rear axle is used in the SEAT Leon and SEAT Alhambra models. In multi-link rear suspension, three transverse and one trailing arm per wheel (four-link system) each absorb different forces. This allows longitudinal and transverse dynamics to be coordinated specifically and almost independently of each other and to achieve the highest degree of driving stability and comfort. With only small structural modifications, the multi-link rear axle is suitable for use in front-wheel drive as well as in four-wheel drive cars.
