Galvanisation

Galvanising is the most reliable method of protecting sheet steel against corrosion. Galvanisation is a form of zinc-plating in which the zinc reacts with the underlying steel to create a stable compound that is immune to surface damage. Galvanisation is applied in layers of less than 20 micrometres, and is used primarily to treat finer surfaces like the visible surfaces of a car's body.
